Civil Liberties: A Community Discussion
This Wednesday, our President/CEO Dallas Jones has the honor to represent the NAACP Houston Branch as part of a panel of Houston community leaders discussing civil liberties. Drawing on our shared history, the panel will consider human rights abuses—abroad and in America—and the dangers of hatred, bigotry, and apathy. They will be discussing the challenges and opportunities facing our community, now and in the future. As the most diverse city in the country, Houston has the unique opportunity to be a leader in inclusion, respect, and empathy.
Please join us on Wednesday, April 19th, to discuss our shared upcoming challenges. Admission is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required at https://www.hmh.org/EventDescription.aspx?ID=1035.
